About

MeepMeep was founded by Eve Olynyk, a UVic B.Comm - Entrepreneurship grad and Simon Park, a UVic B.Eng - Mechanical Engineering grad. The MeepMeep team believes everyone should get to experience the joy of a great round on a beautiful disc golf course.

In growing MeepMeep, we operate by three key principals:

  1. Do what excites us

  2. Leverage our influence

  3. Be genuine humans

We believe that sourcing ethical materials and suppliers as much as possible, promoting diversity in our hiring practices, enabling greater participation of players with cognitive or vision impairments, and supporting a healthy team is more important than just turning a profit.

By starting with a stick-on, sound-based locator beacon, we aim to grow into a major contributor of disc golf flight/throw analytics, customized digital coaching, and accessibility devices. By supporting us, you're helping us grow the sport! Learn more about our first drop here.

Territorial Acknowledgement

The MeepMeep team resides on the traditional territories of the Lkwungen, Esquimalt, and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples.

Unlike many other activities which require manicured environments, disc golf courses are known for their natural forest and meadow-based settings. We thank the Indigenous communities whose territories we reside on for being stewards of the land and teachers on having a sustainable relationship with the nature we need to live, work, and play.
